mermaid takeover pool party series | the wayfarer

This summer, I partnered with EOS Lounge and The Wayfarer Hotel to create a mini series of collaborative mermaid-inspired pool parties featuring Save the Mermaids and Yoga Dance Magic.

This series was unique in that it brought an immersive thematic element to an already popular space, and established a beautiful non-profit element that focuses on sustainability and supporting ocean education for kids.

Save the Mermaids (with well-loved local bartender and activist Bonnie Kwon at the helm) helped in designing and promoting reusable stainless steel cups to promote a #plasticfreeparty. If guests brought/purchased the reusable cups, they were incentivized with discounted drink specials at the bar! We also worked with premiere spirits donations from Eos Lounge to craft a specialty cocktail where all proceeds helped support scholarships for local kids to attend ocean education camps this summer.

To round things off, Emma Davis with Yoga Dance Magic tapped into the wellness portion of the event, curating complimentary mini sessions for guests to partake in during the parties that ranged from silent disco yoga to meditation and ecstatic dance.
